Export the file
- Open Settings.
- In the General tab, find the Data & diagnostics section.
- Click Export diagnostics.
- Choose where to save
corneta-diagnostico.txt. - Open the file and check what's in it before attaching it to the ticket.
Canceling the save window doesn't create or send a diagnostics file. Corneta also doesn't attach the diagnostics automatically. Technical events about the operation follow your telemetry preferences, without including the file.
What goes in
The file is built from a fixed set of fields:
- Corneta version, operating system and architecture;
- a configuration summary without names or credentials;
- the state of your telemetry preferences;
- schema version and build SHA;
- structured technical events, with the failure code and stage.
What stays out
- the telemetry ID: the file marks the field as omitted;
- stream keys, tokens and the WebSocket password;
- channel names, stream title and chat messages;
- images, audio and video from the stream;
- local paths, computer name and IP as a property;
- raw logs.
The telemetry ID helps match a technical event in PostHog, but it isn't needed for every request. If support asks for it, copy the Telemetry ID from the same Data & diagnostics section and send it in the ticket.
Logs stay local and have a separate command to open their folder. Don't send the whole folder unless someone from support explains which file they need and why.
What to write with it
The diagnostics file can't guess what you saw. Add three lines to the ticket:
- what you were trying to do;
- the exact message that appeared;
- whether the failure hit every destination or just one.
If there's an Error ID or Operation ID on the Live screen, copy it as text. You don't need to send a screenshot of the whole panel.
If you opened the file and saw something odd
Don't share it. Keep a local copy, send the ticket without the attachment and say that the diagnostics file seems to contain unexpected data. Give the field name, not the value.
To narrow down the cause before opening a ticket, use the guide why your stream lags.
